Vodcast: Texas A&M: Consistent, sustained information sharing vital to emergency operations

In 2022, 13 graduate students from the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government & Public Service collaborated with Hexagon’s Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial division to complete their Graduate Capstone Research Project exploring daily information sharing and interagency interoperability in public safety.

In the project, titled “Local collaboration in day-to-day incident response within the Homeland Security enterprise,” the students focused on three areas: policies and political barriers; technological solutions and shortcomings; and organizational and professional cultures.

Watch as Dr. Danny Davis, who supervised the project at Texas A&M, and Hexagon’s Jack Williams discuss some of the research findings.
