A safer U.S. presidential inauguration with HxGN Connect

Washington, D.C.’s Office of Unified Communications (OUC) relied on HxGN Connect for communication and collaboration across local, state and federal agencies during the United States presidential inauguration in January 2025.

U.S. presidential inaugurations attract dignitaries and global leaders, as well as hundreds of thousands of visitors, to the nation’s capital. Washington, D.C.’s OUC is tasked with managing the safety and security of the important event.

For the 2025 inauguration, OUC implemented Hexagon’s cloud-based collaboration tool, HxGN Connect, to coordinate among the many local, state, federal and military public safety agencies charged with safety during the event. It empowered agencies with visibility and real-time awareness, ensuring a fast and coordinated response to any emergencies that arose.
